A few years ago, four people decided
to form a band...
The band never happened, but the group continued to exist, with
people dropping in and out, constantly reshaping, changing and
reinventing a strange identity and concept called 'rentner'. |
 |
'The Book' tells the whole story
of rentner, from its birth to its death, its strange disguises
and hybrids, from a science fiction project that spanned across
six european cities, over a company ran by hard-nosed business
men, to its own total corporate and conceptual deconstruction... |
 |
The book tells this story in a
conceptual narrative of image and text, while exploring issues
of corporate identity, time and retrospectivity, social structures
and, of course, the art of rentner. |
